NEW TRIP!

Embark aboard SV Sea Dragon for an unforgettable high-latitude passage from Iceland to Scotland, tracing a route rich in wildlife, dramatic landscapes, and maritime culture. Covering 950 nautical miles, this voyage takes you past the rugged Faroe Islands, into the shimmering waters of the Hebrides, and on to the historic port of Oban.

From the colourful harbours of Reykjavík, we’ll navigate north to the Faroes, a land of sheer cliffs and abundant seabirds, before heading south to Scotland’s Hebrides. The voyage offers the chance to spot minke whales, puffins, and other Atlantic wildlife along the way, while the island-strewn route provides shelter, exploration, and memorable anchoring opportunities.

This expedition blends open-water sailing with coastal exploration. Crew members will be hands-on in every aspect of life aboard: helming, trimming sails, watch-keeping, and navigating. You’ll also participate in life onboard by taking turns to cook and contributing to jobs down below. The reward is the sense of accomplishment as we make landfall in Oban, with its whisky heritage and welcoming Scottish charm.

You’ll also get to

  • Sail past the dramatic cliffs and wildlife-rich waters of the Faroe Islands
  • Explore the Hebrides’ scenic anchorages and coastal communities
  • Observe whales, seabirds, and the rich marine life of the North Atlantic
  • Develop offshore and coastal sailing skills under expert guidance
  • Celebrate arrival in Oban, gateway to Scotland’s whisky country

Sailing with Panexplore means joining a true expedition, and discover the beauty and wildlife of these northern waters.
