NEW 2027 ITINERARY!

Costa Cruising is a true blue-water passage south along Mexico’s Pacific coastline and onward to Central America. Covering significant offshore miles, this voyage transitions from the Sea of Cortez into the open Pacific before making landfall in Costa Rica. Expect long ocean swells, meaningful watch rotations, and the deep satisfaction of a substantial offshore passage aboard SV Sea Dragon.

This expedition is designed for sailors ready to embrace extended time at sea and build serious offshore experience.

You’ll also get to

  • Stand full offshore watch rotations, including night watches
  • Gain experience in long-distance passage making
  • Practice weather interpretation and routing discussions
  • Build over 2,000 nautical miles of blue-water sailing
  • Experience a tropical landfall in Costa Rica

Sailing with Panexplore means you’re not just along for the ride. You’ll be part of the crew—standing watches, trimming sails, navigating, and learning as you go. Whether you’re building miles, confidence, or simply a deeper connection with offshore sailing, Panexplore voyages are designed to be immersive, educational, and rewarding.

Our onboard cuisine is inspired by the places we sail through. Our galley follows a local & ocean-inspired philosophy—prioritizing local produce, coastal flavors, and fresh catch when the ocean provides. We can cater to specific diets, just let us know!

If you have any medical conditions, recent injuries, or concerns about your fitness level, we strongly recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before booking. This expedition is not suitable for individuals with severe mobility limitations or certain medical conditions. Your safety and enjoyment are our priority, and we want to ensure this experience is appropriate for your physical capabilities. Please contact us should you have any questions or concerns before booking.
