NEW 2027 ITINERARY!

The Sea of Cortez was famously dubbed “the Aquarium of the World” by oceanographer Jacques Cousteau, and this voyage offers an unforgettable opportunity to explore its rich marine environment and dramatic desert-meets-sea landscapes. Sailing south from Ensenada to La Paz, we follow the Baja Peninsula into warmer waters, combining purposeful offshore sailing with the possibility of wildlife encounters in one of Mexico’s most biodiverse regions.

This trip is ideal for sailors looking to build mileage while experiencing the striking beauty and ecological richness of the Gulf of California.

You’ll also get to

  • Stand offshore watches in warming Pacific conditions
  • Practice sail trim and helming in varied wind patterns
  • Participate in navigation and route planning
  • Spot marine life including dolphins, whales, and seabirds
  • Experience a landfall into the vibrant sailing hub of La Paz

Sailing with Panexplore means you’re not just along for the ride. You’ll be part of the crew—standing watches, trimming sails, navigating, and learning as you go. Whether you’re building miles, confidence, or simply a deeper connection with offshore sailing, Panexplore voyages are designed to be immersive, educational, and rewarding.

Our onboard cuisine is inspired by the places we sail through. Our galley follows a local & ocean-inspired philosophy—prioritizing local produce, coastal flavors, and fresh catch when the ocean provides. We can cater to specific diets, just let us know!

If you have any medical conditions, recent injuries, or concerns about your fitness level, we strongly recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before booking. This expedition is not suitable for individuals with severe mobility limitations or certain medical conditions. Your safety and enjoyment are our priority, and we want to ensure this experience is appropriate for your physical capabilities. Please contact us should you have any questions or concerns before booking.
