NEW 2027 ITINERARY!

This is ocean sailing in its purest form. Departing the Galápagos Islands, SV Sea Dragon sets a westerly course for the remote Marquesas, embarking on a 3,300-nautical-mile trans-Pacific passage that defines true bluewater adventure.

For nearly a month, the horizon stretches unbroken in every direction. Trade winds fill the sails, flying fish scatter at the bow, and life aboard settles into the timeless rhythm of watch rotations, shared meals, and star-filled nights. This passage offers the rare opportunity to disconnect from land entirely and experience the immensity of the Pacific Ocean.

Landfall in the Marquesas is unforgettable. After weeks at sea, the lush volcanic cliffs of Nuku Hiva rise dramatically from the water as we anchor in Taiohae Bay—an arrival earned mile by mile.

You’ll also get to

  • Complete a 3,300-nautical-mile Pacific crossing
  • Stand extended offshore watches and refine bluewater seamanship
  • Learn about long-range weather routing and trade wind sailing
  • Experience life far offshore with a small, capable expedition crew
  • Celebrate a true ocean landfall in the Marquesas

Sailing with Panexplore means you’re not just along for the ride. You’ll be part of the crew—standing watches, trimming sails, navigating, and learning as you go. Whether you’re building miles, confidence, or simply a deeper connection with offshore sailing, Panexplore voyages are designed to be immersive, educational, and rewarding.

Our onboard cuisine is inspired by the places we sail through. Our galley follows a local & ocean-inspired philosophy — prioritizing local produce, coastal flavors, and fresh catch when the ocean provides. We can cater to specific diets, just let us know!

If you have any medical conditions, recent injuries, or concerns about your fitness level, we strongly recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before booking. This expedition is not suitable for individuals with severe mobility limitations or certain medical conditions. Your safety and enjoyment are our priority, and we want to ensure this experience is appropriate for your physical capabilities. Please contact us should you have any questions or concerns before booking.
