NEW TRIP!

Set sail aboard SV Sea Dragon from Oban in western Scotland to Portsmouth, England, covering 700 nautical miles along some of the UK’s most scenic and historic coasts. This expedition combines offshore sailing with coastal exploration, passing islands, lochs, and rugged headlands along the way.

From the Scottish Highlands, we’ll navigate south along the west coast of the British Isles, taking in tranquil bays, wildlife, and historic harbours. The voyage offers a mix of sailing conditions, from gentle coastal passages to longer offshore legs, making it ideal for crew keen to refine their skills while enjoying the diverse landscapes of the UK.

Life aboard remains hands-on: standing watch, helming, trimming sails, and learning navigation. The arrival in Portsmouth signals the end of a journey that blends the wild and the familiar, offering new experiences every day.

You’ll also get to

  • Sail past the dramatic Scottish coast, islands, and headlands
  • Learn coastal and offshore navigation techniques in UK waters
  • Experience the variety of sailing conditions from north to south
  • Participate fully in watch-keeping, sail handling, and seamanship
  • Celebrate arrival in Portsmouth, a historic maritime city

Sailing with Panexplore means gaining practical sailing experience in real conditions. The skipper decides the route, ensuring safety while providing opportunities to explore and learn.
