Come sail the Caribbean and celebrate the start of 2026 with us and Sea Dragon! Sailing around the island of St. Lucia for New Year is an unforgettable adventure, blending tropical beauty with festive excitement. As New Year’s Eve approaches, the anticipation builds, we’ll anchor near Rodney Bay, where the celebrations are in full swing. The new year begins with a sunrise swim in the warm Caribbean waters, followed by a leisurely sail along the coast, embracing the tranquility of the open sea.

We’ll soon leave the excitement of Rodney bay behind us and head south to the island’s lush green mountains, including the iconic Pitons, rise dramatically from the sea. Gentle trade winds fill the sails, making for a smooth and exhilarating journey. Stopping in charming coastal towns like Soufrière and Marigot Bay, we can explore hidden coves, snorkel in crystal-clear waters, and indulge in fresh seafood at waterfront restaurants. The island’s rich Creole culture and warm hospitality add to the magic, making every stop along the journey a delight. All meals on board Sea Dragon during this trip are delicious and vegetarian, with the addition of fish if we catch any along the way.

Please note that this sailing expedition requires you to be in good physical health and reasonably fit. Activities involve moderate to strenuous exertion, including extended hours awake and difficult physical environment to evolve in. We will expect you to be active for several hours daily, in all varying weather conditions and at all hours of the day & night.

Tentative Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Rodney Bay, St. Lucia
Arrive at Sea Dragon between 1500-1700.

Day 2: Boat/safety briefings
We’ll spend some of the day going through boat/safety briefings before commencing our NY countdown!

Days 3: Set Sail
We’ll kick start 2026 with a refreshing splash in the beautiful St. Lucian waters before heading south down the island to our first anchorage.

Days 4-7: Exploring St. Lucia
Marigot Bay is a short hop down the coast and offers surrounding luscious scenery. We’ll spend the night at anchor there and do some exploring in the morning. Next stop on our agenda is Soufriere, another short distance down the coast, where we can hike up the famous Pitons or for a lighter start to 2026 head to the Botanical Gardens and Mineral Baths. We’ll likely spend 2 nights here before heading off for an afternoon sail to another beautiful bay, down the south of the island, Vieux Fort. As we leave our final anchorage, we’ll head up the coast back to Rodney Bay passing the luscious greenery of St Lucia for the final time.

Day 8: Departure Sea Dragon
Plan to depart the boat by 0900.

The deposit is only $500. It’s non refundable if you back out, but if we cancel or modify the trip we are happy to return your money or apply it to a different voyage.  Please review the Crew Contract for full details of this trip. The remaining balance is due 60 days before the trip begins.
