The sails are flying
Spirits are high
As we depart Palm Beach
Leaving behind humidity and flies

The ocean has greeted us
For a safe passage we wish
Some crew are well-adjusted
Others are feeding the fish

By Day 3 are all cheerful
Eyes no longer straight ahead
Except for Geoffrey
Who forgets to duck his head

We are split into three watches
Taking turns with four-hour shifts,
Tuck a reef, now shake it
Point higher, take that lift!

Shanley, Billy, and Laura,
Eric, Geoffrey, and Mindy,
Katie, Lorraine, and Levent,
We are all grateful for this steady wind-y.

Long-tail whitebirds swoop above us,
Container ships chug along,
The stars brighten and fade,
Bermuda, see you in not too long!
